Description
OverviewA well-established, privately owned investment firm is seeking an experienced capital raising professional to lead and expand its global fundraising activity. The firm focuses primarily on private credit strategies, deploying capital across differentiated, non-public markets with a strong emphasis on downside protection and risk-adjusted returns.
The role is suited to a senior individual with a proven ability to originate, manage, and close institutional capital across multiple regions, leveraging a deep, long-standing investor network. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and investment teams to support fundraising initiatives across existing and future private credit vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead capital formation efforts for private credit and credit-adjacent strategies across multiple geographies
- Cultivate and manage long-term relationships with global institutional investors, including pensions, endowments, foundations, insurers, and family offices
- Drive the fundraising process from initial engagement through to close, including investor education around strategy, risk profile, and portfolio construction
- Represent the firm with credibility in senior-level meetings, roadshows, and industry events
- Partner with investment and leadership teams to align fundraising messaging with portfolio positioning and market conditions
- Provide insight on investor appetite, structuring trends, and regional dynamics within the private credit landscape
- Support ongoing investor relations and re-up processes to ensure consistent, high-quality engagement post-close
Candidate Profile
- Significant experience in institutional fundraising within private credit or related private markets strategies (e.g. opportunistic credit, structured credit, special situations, asset-backed lending)
- Demonstrated success raising capital across multiple regions, with a well-developed and portable investor contact book
- Strong understanding of credit investment frameworks, risk-return trade-offs, and allocator considerations
- Confident, polished communicator capable of articulating complex credit strategies clearly and credibly
- Experience working closely with founders, partners, or senior leadership in a lean, high-performance environment
- High level of discretion and professionalism
- Willingness to travel internationally as required
Key Attributes
- Relationship-led fundraiser with a long-term, partnership-oriented mindset
- Commercial, organised, and highly self-directed
- Sound judgement and comfort operating with senior stakeholders
- Trusted reputation within the institutional investor community
Why This Role
- Opportunity to play a central role in scaling a global private credit fundraising platform
- Direct exposure to strategic decision-making and long-term product development
- Flexible working arrangements with an international remit
- Competitive, performance-aligned compensation structure
