Salary: $150-180k base + bonus
Client/Job Summary:
An international manufacturer is seeking a Director of Accounting to help build and elevate the accounting department. This individual will play a key role in strengthening financial processes, supporting decision-making across the firm, and helping the company scale effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the close process end-to-end, ensuring timelines are met and outputs are accurate.
- Review areas including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
- Partner closely with commercial teams to support areas such as customer programs, revenue recognition, accruals, and trade spend accounting.
- Help manage the accounting implications of promotional activity, customer deductions, and various sales-related programs.
- Be the primary point of contact for auditors and assist with external reporting and compliance.
- Lead and develop members of the accounting team while helping to build a scalable structure.
- Identify opportunities for system improvements and automation, including enhancements to current ERP tools.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in accounting or finance. CPA strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in consumer packaged goods, manufacturing, food & beverage, or retail product company required.
- 3 years of leadership experience required.
- Experience in PE-backed, multi-entity, and/or international environments preferred.
- Exposure to supply chain finance, demand planning, and working capital optimization preferred.
- Experience with revenue recognition, standard costing, inventory accounting, and trade spend.
- ERP experience required (NetSuite preferred).
