About the Opportunity

An established and growing financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Credit Team Lead on an 18 Month Fixed Term Contract to lead a high-performing credit team. This is an exciting opportunity for a people-focused leader with strong credit assessment expertise and a passion for continuous improvement.

You will oversee day-to-day credit operations, support the development of your team, and ensure exceptional service delivery to dealer partners and customers. You will also play a key role in driving process improvements and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Credit Analysts to achieve service and performance targets.
• Manage daily workflow to ensure credit applications are processed efficiently and within agreed timeframes.
• Provide guidance and support on complex credit applications and escalated matters.
• Monitor the quality and consistency of credit decisions and ensure adherence to lending policies and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers and internal stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Conduct coaching, performance reviews and development planning for team members.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience leading and developing credit operations teams.
• MUST have asset finance, auto finance or equipment finance experience.
• Strong credit assessment and risk management capabilities.
• Experience managing complex applications and escalations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement process enhancements.
• Sound understanding of responsible lending obligations and regulatory requirements.
