Provide strategic tax services to Alchemy members, including strategy, planning, mid-year reviews, and filing. As a trusted advisor, you’ll provide simplified, actionable financial information that enables members to make informed decisions with confidence. As the membership grows, there will be additional opportunities to help scale Alchemy Tax by hiring and managing an elite team of tax professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Execute the strategic vision, goals, and growth plans for Alchemy Tax
Lead your tax pod, consisting of a junior accountant, and tax admin support, in achieving excellence in member service and financial performance
Assist in the hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development of additional team members as the Alchemy Tax division grows Ensure Alchemy Tax adheres to industry regulations, standards, and best practices
Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the existing membership
Build and maintain strong member relationships to foster retention and growth
Meet with prospects, quote services, and convert new tax memberships
Accounting:
Provide expert guidance on accounting, tax, and financial matters to our members, who are real estate small business owners and investors and have a combination of S-Corps, C-Corps, and Partnership configurations for active and passive business ventures across multiple states Review previous tax return(s)
Schedule live planning calls to provide strategic tax recommendations
Analyze financials and advise on deductions and credits, with expertise in common real estate tax areas such as cost segregation, Augusta rule, and 1031 exchanges
Review entity type and discuss changes if necessary
Recommend payroll adjustments
Manage encrypted member tax portal for safe collection and sharing of documents
Maximize any deductions available (home office deduction, family tax strategies, etc.)
Facilitate a mid-year tax true-up
Send reminders about quarterly tax payments
Analyze retirement plan contributions and make recommendations
Answer tax-related questions and help with responses to IRS notices
File state and federal tax returns
Ensure members receive top-tier service and handle escalated issues as necessary
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA)
5+ years of professional experience as a CPA or EA, 1-3 years management experience
Proven track record of client retention
Detail-oriented problem solver; can handle multiple priorities at once
Self-motivated and independent, taking pride in the quality of your work
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to follow up, follow through, and close the loop on outstanding items with our members

Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new platforms such as our CRM
