We are seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused Enrolled Agent specializing in tax representation to assist individuals and businesses with resolving tax issues and navigating interactions with taxing authorities. This role requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to advocate on behalf of clients while maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients before federal and state tax authorities (e.g., IRS, state departments of taxation)
Handle a variety of tax resolution matters, including audits, notices, collections, installment agreements, offers in compromise, and penalty abatements
Communicate directly with taxing agencies to resolve client tax issues in a timely and efficient manner
Review client financial records and tax filings to assess liabilities and identify appropriate resolution strategies
Conduct thorough research on tax laws, regulations, and procedures to support client cases
Prepare and submit required documentation, forms, and correspondence on behalf of clients
Monitor case progress and maintain accurate, detailed records of all communications and actions taken
Advise clients on compliance requirements and strategies to avoid future tax issues
Provide clear, concise explanations of tax situations and resolution options to clients

Salaried position with pay to be determined based on prior experience and demonstrated abilities.
This position may be fully remote, hybrid, or fully on-site depending on applicant's location. Remote positions require dependable home internet service and a private setting free of interruptions. Employer owned and issued equipment will be provided for this position.
Requirements
Education, Experience & Licensure
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required (Degree in an unrelated field with ample experience is acceptable)
Prior experience in tax preparation, tax resolution, or tax representation preferred
Current Enrolled Agent (EA) License in good standing with IRS, and up to date with CE Requirements
Technical & Software Skills
Strong computer proficiency, including the ability to work efficiently across multiple systems and software platforms
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
Experience with or ability to quickly learn client management software, IRS E-Services, and IRS Tax Pro Account
Current and accessible ID.Me account

Ability to conduct tax-related research and interpret findings to support decision-making

Ability to clearly explain tax concepts and findings to clients in an understandable manner (both via phone call and in writing)
