Systems Accountant - Finance Systems & Ledger Optimisation Your new company
A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Systems Accountant to join its Finance Systems and Ledger Optimisation team on a 9-12-month contract. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support key finance systems, enhance reconciliation processes, and contribute to ongoing transformation initiatives within a large, complex environment.
Your new role
As a Systems Accountant, you will be responsible for:
Supporting the governance and optimisation of the Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud (ARCS) platform
Coordinating system maintenance, incident resolution, and change requests
Monitoring overnight batch processes and system interfaces
Providing system support and troubleshooting for ARCS users
Working with Finance and Product System Support teams to implement and validate reconciliation changes
Supporting data governance activities and user access controls
Preparing training materials and managing support queues
Assisting with audit reviews and Finance Systems projects
Driving continuous improvement initiatives
Contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team culture
What you'll need to succeed
3+ years' experience in finance or systems accounting, ideally within financial services
Practical experience with Oracle ARCS is highly desirable.
Strong technical knowledge of Oracle, including configuration and administration
Solid understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes
CA/CPA or equivalent
Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
Advanced communication and documentation abilities
High attention to detail and capable of managing competing priorities
Strong analytical mindset with a continuous-improvement focus
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment
