Your new role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Manager or Senior Accountant to join a high-performing team. Working with a diverse client portfolio, you will be responsible for delivering taxation, compliance and advisory services while building strong relationships with business owners and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns
• Managing taxation and compliance obligations across various entity structures
• Preparation and review of BAS and related reporting requirements
• Providing taxation advice and assisting with tax planning strategies
• Working closely with SME and family-owned business clients
• Assisting with business structuring, CGT and Division 7A matters
• Liaising with clients, professional advisers and regulatory bodies
• Reviewing and mentoring junior team members where appropriate
• Managing client relationships and identifying opportunities to add value
• Utilising cloud-based accounting platforms including Xero

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum 5 years' Australian public practice accounting experience
• Strong technical taxation and compliance knowledge
• Demonstrated experience preparing financial statements and tax returns
• Experience working with companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
• Strong stakeholder engagement and client relationship management skills
• Experience using Xero and associated practice management software
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your portfolio
• CA or CPA qualification (completed or in progress) will be highly regarded
