Property Tax Consultant Role and Responsibilities:
Covering multiple Texas counties for Commercial, Residential and Agricultural properties. Some travel out of town, overnight for internal and client meetings.
Analyze property tax appeal information and prepare evidence for valuation, agricultural and other exemption denial protest hearings.
Research market data and sales and maintain our internal sales database.
Work with various county appraisers to negotiate client values and appear before the Appraisal Review Board as required.
File and work arbitrations to a conclusion as necessary.
Assist clients and their attorneys with lawsuits against appraisal districts as required.
Provide excellent customer service to existing and potential clients with prompt, concise communication.
Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Licensed Property Tax Consultant, General Certified Appraiser or Registered Professional Appraiser.
Experience as a Property Tax Consultant, Registered Professional Appraiser, or Licensed Fee Appraiser.
Effective oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate clearly, effectively and persuasively.
Work independently and demonstrate initiative to accomplish goals.
Strong problem solving and investigative skills.
Time management skills.
Work Hours and Benefits:
In-office hours, Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (some weekends)
