Role Overview

We are a premier regional financial institution expanding our structured debt and private credit coverage across Greater China. We are seeking a high-performing Senior Loan Originator with an exceptional network among mid-sized corporates, family offices, and professional intermediaries (auditors, law firms, deal advisors).

In this role, you will lead deal sourcing and relationship coverage, providing bespoke debt solutions averaging USD 10M-15M (with capacity for larger tickets) across a wide range of asset-backed, share-backed, and cash-flow structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Deal Origination & Sourcing: Proactively identify, originate, and secure structured loan opportunities across mid-sized listed/non-listed corporates and family offices in Greater China.
• Network Development: Build and nurture an active ecosystem of referral channels, including Tier-1 audit firms, offshore/onshore law firms, corporate finance boutiques, and PE/VC funds.
• Deal Structuring & Execution: Evaluate client financing needs and pitch tailor-made credit solutions across senior secured debt, mezzanine financing, asset-backed credit, and cash flow loans.
• Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary relationship manager for key borrowers, guiding transactions from initial pitch and term sheet negotiation to committee approval and closing.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor APAC equity/debt markets, macroeconomic trends, and regulatory changes (cross-border lending, share pledges) to capture emerging credit demand.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 10 years of direct experience in private debt, structured finance, leveraged finance, or corporate banking coverage focused on Greater China.
• Sourcing Network: Proven, active contact base of mid-cap business owners, family offices, CFOs, and key intermediaries (lawyers, accountants, deal brokers).
• Product Expertise: Strong understanding of credit structures, including senior secured loans, mezzanine debt, asset-backed lending, and cash flow financing for listed and private entities in APAC.
• Commercial Mindset: Demonstrated track record of closing structured credit transactions in the USD 5M-30M+ range.
• Languages: Business fluency in English and Mandarin is essential to engage with Greater China clients and advisors.
