CassonX are delighted to be partnering with a $3bn multi strategy hedge fund that offers an underlying strategy in Credit, but with exposure to short term liquid asset and systematic strategies. This company offers an environment that is very team oriented, hiring those who are very capable at what they do but without egos, and they do not over work their staff with flexible hours. This company has global offices, and are hiring due to continued growth in their AUM and performance, but also as someone has been promoted into another internal team. To be considered for this role, CassonX are ideally looking for someone who has worked in a hedge fund, or asset manager supporting alternative strategies, however they would consider someone who is working in prime brokerage. You must have middle office / operations experience of complex products, including Swaptions, IRS and Credit, even cash Fixed Income, but is beneficial if you have also seen Equities and Futures. Should you offer a background in a credit/bond basis book firm, then this is deemed highly advantageous. It is essential you are familiar with using Bloomberg on a daily basis, and able to solve PnL queries whilst proven at working directly with Portfolio Managers and/or Traders.

This is not an Operations role, so no reconciliations or corporate actions as example. You will do all things middle office, including the trade bookings, confirmations, affirmation etc and working with prime and the Traders/Portfolio Managers directly to resolve outstanding issues. Ideally you will also have exposure to NAV and PnL queries, and worth noting there are plenty of projects to be working on, especially around OMS/PMS. Whilst working autonomously in a small team, this wide reaching role will see you supporting Asia and European markets, and handing over to counterparts in the US. The team support a 07:00 to 19:00 pattern, however, you will not be expected to work all of it, just part of it and in keeping with their company stance of offering a work/life balance and with hybrid working conditions.
