Description
Mexico Legal Entity Controller will be based in Mexico and support the Legal Entity Controller team in activities related to the preparation and presentation of financial statements, internal and regulatory reporting and audits, ensuring accuracy and high quality in the corresponding deliverables. It also supports the implementation of new initiatives and products. Coordinate with on and offshore teams in different areas such as Front Office, Business Management, Product Control, Financial Control, Taxes, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, among others. Specific responsibilities will include:- Performing monthly, quarterly and yearly controls and reconciliations related to the financial information of the different entities.
- Preparation of the financial statements of the different Legal entities in Mexico.
- Analyzing the results and explaining variances for different time periods.
- Reporting local regulatory reports that can be related to financial information, capital management or liquidity management (ICAP, LCR, NSFR, Large Exposures, Leverage Ratio, ACLME report)
- Publish the monthly and quarterly disclosures in the web page.
- Processing accounting entries and reconcile the balances of some accounts under the ownership of LEC.
- Help to automate current processes in different digital tools. (Tableau, Alteryx, external vendor digital platform GREP).
- Being involved in internal or external audits related to the team processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field
- Proficient Excel skills
- Proficient organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable liaising with business partners while building and maintaining relationships
- Ability to critically challenge with the goal of identifying control issues
- Show initiative; be able to work independently yet keep all parties apprised of key issues
- Ability to work on multiple priorities at the same time
- Ability to learn quickly and be comfortable to navigate various reporting systems/tools
