Description

This empowers BIL Suisse to provide clients with cutting-edge solutions tailored to their evolving requirements.We are looking for a temporary Credit Structuring Specialist to support the structuring and executionof complex credit transactions within an international Wealth Managementenvironment who can start immediately. This position is offered as a fixed-termcontract for up to 6 months, with the option to transition into a permanentrole. You will focus on tailored lending solutions for UHNW and entrepreneurialclients, with a strong emphasis on international mortgage financing, Lombardlending and cross-border structures. Acting as a key interface between FrontOffice, Risk, Legal and Group functions, you will contribute to deliveringhigh-quality, risk-aware credit solutions while ensuring full compliance withinternal policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Structure and execute bespoke lending solutions, including international mortgage financing, Lombard loans, and hybrid lending solutions
- As part of the first line, you act as a trusted structuring partner to Relationship Managers by supporting deal origination and execution, engaging with clients in complex discussions, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment
- Support complex transactions involving cross-border real estate assets and multi-jurisdictional borrower structures, such as SPVs and holding companies
- Prepare comprehensive credit applications, term sheets, and risk assessments for internal approvals
- Coordinate transaction execution among stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient delivery
- Analyse and structure cross-border mortgage transactions across key European jurisdictions, assessing property valuations and legal enforceability
- Evaluate borrower structures and risks, and design appropriate security packages (pledges, guarantees and cross-collateralisation concepts)
- Perform detailed credit assessments, including LTV analysis, cash flow evaluation, stress testing, and ongoing portfolio risk monitoring
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite frameworks while supporting the consistent application of credit standards and contributing to process improvements
- Proactively propose innovative structuring alternatives that optimize the risk-return profile and align with client objectives while fostering a solution-oriented and risk-aware culture within the Credit function
Your Profile
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field (or an equivalent educational pathway)
- 5-8 years of experience in credit structuring, lending, or credit risk within private banking or wealth management
- Proven expertise in international mortgage financing, Lombard lending, portfolio-backed financing, and cross-border credit transactions
- Familiarity with European real estate markets and lending practices is a strong advantage
- Exposure to credit approval processes, committees, and risk governance frameworks
- Strong analytical skills in credit risk assessment and financial analysis, with a solid understanding of mortgage lending frameworks, LTV concepts, and collateral management, as well as experience with Avaloq, Bloomberg, and advanced Excel
- Ability to interpret legal documentation related to pledges, mortgages and guarantees
- Detail-oriented and solution-driven professional with strong communication skills, capable of managing multiple transactions under pressure with a balanced view between risk and business opportunities
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CFA, FRM or equivalent) are advantageous
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required; German is an asset
