Description
Permanent Credit Controller within a growing Underwriter, 2 days WFH, CBD based, 80K-100K plus super Your new company and roleA well-established and growing financial services and insurance provider known for its collaborative, high-performing culture are looking to expand their Finance team by hiring for an experienced Credit Controller. This is a great opportunity for a competent and detailed Credit Control professional to take ownership of broker receivables and contribute to wider finance operations. You will have the opportunity to shape credit processes whilst being provided with the support and growth needed to succeed. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing broker account portfolios and ensuring timely collections.
- Reconciling statements including commissions, fees, taxes, and endorsements.
- Handling cash posting, banking, and precise allocations (including multi-invoice and unallocated cash).
- Preparing aged trial balances, DSO, and collection reports; support doubtful debt provisioning.
- Recommending and implementing improvements to credit policies and processes.
- Assisting with month-end AR close and ad-hoc finance projects.
- Performing finance reconciliations and other related tasks as required.
- A strong experience in Credit Control/Accounts Receivable, within financial services or insurance.
- Advanced proficiency in Xero (essential), including multi-entity reconciliations and AR reporting.
- Proven success in reducing aged debt and improving cashflow.
- Strong accuracy and understanding of policy mechanics.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with senior stakeholders successfully.
- Full Australian work rights with no restrictions.
- The opportunity to fully own the Credit Control processes, operating standalone but with support from the wider finance team, with the potential to influence change within the business.
