On behalf of Deloitte, AMS are looking for a number of Accountants (Trainee or Qualified) for a 3 Month Initial Day Rate Contract based in Dublin (4-5 days per week in the office).

Purpose of the Role:

The Accountants will be responsible for supporting a high-profile financial investigation relating to financial statement disclosures and reporting accuracy within a publicly listed organisation. Working as part of a project team, you will apply your accounting expertise to review email communications, analyse complex financial information, and identify relevant findings linked to financial statements and projections. This is a project-based role within the investigations/forensics space, requiring a strong accounting background and the ability to operate effectively in a detailed, high-scrutiny environment.

What you'll do

• Review and analyse high volumes of email correspondence relating to financial statements and projections.
• Interpret complex financial data and disclosures to determine relevance to the investigation.
• Identify inconsistencies, risks, or potential reporting issues.
• Clearly document findings and escalate key matters to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings in a structured, coherent manner.

What we require from the candidate:

• 2-5 years' accounting experience (Part-Qualified, Newly Qualified, QBE or Fully Qualified)
• Strong understanding of financial statements and financial reporting
• Background in external audit, internal audit, or forensic accounting (forensic exposure highly advantageous)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) is required. Experience with email review platforms (e.g., Relativity) is beneficial but not essential. Life Sciences sector exposure is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyse complex financial information
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence escalating findings to management
