The controller position is responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations, including the preparation of periodic financial reports, maintaining a robust system of accounting records, and implementing comprehensive controls to mitigate risk and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.

Essential Job Functions
Safeguards assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal controls across departments
Manages the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, etc.
Develops, improves and issues timely monthly financial records
Interfaces with outside audit firms(s), banks and lessors, casualty/liability insurance agent(s), credit card companies, etc.
Provides a visionary and leadership implementation role on behalf of Finance
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
Establishes and implements short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
Designs, establishes and maintains an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives.
Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Education, Experience & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
Eight or more years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation.
Requires knowledge of principles of financial management sufficient to direct professional staff and the ability to develop annual budgets, analyze financial data and patterns and prepare financial statements.
Must be familiar with healthcare-related terms and the various components of managed care.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
